Parsley Power!

It’s time to get wild, real wild. If you don’t venture past the fruits & veg in your drinks, it’s time to sh-sh-shake things up. Power up your smoothie or veggie juice (like we did here) with a punch of parsley and let the amazing detoxing potency begin – pow! Like all those P’s? We know you would. Alright, first let’s break down this recipe because you really need to try it because it’s incredible for your digestion, cleanses the blood, and detoxes you into yesterday.

Juice list:

1 cup broccoli, 1 thumb size ginger root nugget, 4 carrots (peeled), 1 large beet (peeled), 1/2 lemon (we keep the zest on, it gives it a wicked flavour), 1 tomato (skin on). Throw those in the juicer chute and watch the pretty colours form and froth. Next, put it in the blender and blend with a small bunch of parsley. You want to try not to blend it for too long because: a) the whirling of air bubbles oxygenate the juice (making it lose its nutritional value), and b) the friction of the blades warm the juice and kill the enzymes & nutrients. Try to keep it quick and cool, and chop up the parsley if you need to beforehand if your blender is not very strong.
